HNU Batch March 2017 attends Seniors’ Convocation

 

Bearing the theme “Sensing Benedictions, Facing New Horizons”, the graduating college students of Holy Name University had their Seniors’ Convocation on February 19, 2017 at the Grand Ballroom of Metrocentre Hotel. The College of Arts and Sciences, College of Education and College of Health Sciences had its convocation in the morning while the College of Business and Accountancy and the College of Engineering and Computer Studies had theirs in the afternoon.  The keynote speakers, namely the dean of the College of Health Sciences department Mrs. Ruvih Joy Garrote and dean of former College of Computer Studies Mrs. Amie Rosarie Caballo, were able to give helpful advices and words to live by to the Batch March 2017 when facing the real world after college graduation.

Mrs. Garrote based the morning schedule of the convocation on the two thoughts of the event’s theme: “Sensing Benedictions” and “Facing New Horizons” with advices on how to get by in the real world with tips namely having enough sleep, saving and not spending beyond than one’s limits among any others and  of course, to put God in the center of all. Mrs. Caballo narrated on the afternoon schedule of the convocation on how hard work can reach miles through the success story of her brothers and she also emphasized the importance of attitude not just in the workplace but also in life.

The event was also graced by HNU’s Vice President for Academic  Affairs Fr. Ruel Lero, SVD, dean of the College of Education, Dr. Roque Bongcac and director for Student Affairs, Ms. Nanelyn Wate.

HNU’s Batch March 2017 graduates are set to have its commencement exercises this March 26, 2017.
